David Burnett, who has photographed every Olympics since 1984, on how he took this timeless shot:
It’s one of those things that I just got lucky, and I didn’t screw up. It’s about being lucky and not screwing up, and trying to be ready for some moment if you happen to be the right place.
We can plan, and prepare, and capture, and mind map all we want and I think that will only get us to being pretty good. Greatness happens by being lucky and not screwing up.
