A Cautionary Tale

Dave Caolo, in a tale about moments with his family and finding what we’re missing:

It was at that very moment that I opened my mouth and say something so thoughtful, so sensitive, so insightful that it will be remembered in family lore forever.

“I’ll put my phone away.”

Encouraged by this tweet from Scott Simpson, I’ve been try to only bring my phone out of my pocket in public if I have to. No checking Twitter at the bar, no seeing what my site analytics are when I’m having lunch with a friend.

There are too many moments we’re missing by staring at pixels when we should be participating.
